About this museum and its collection

The former island of Schokland is a UNESCO heritage site. It features a presentation entitled ‘From Ice Age to Reclamation’ and about the life of the islanders. The island also features a church, barrows, foundations of a lighthouse, ruins of seven churches and the island’s harbour.
