Investigation results

None of the objects in this museum have problematic provenance.

Result of this investigation

The museum reports that it cannot account entirely for the provenance of several paintings, yet there is no reason to suspect that their provenance is problematic. Many other objects have no uniquely identifiable characteristics. The consulted its registration system in its investigation as well as annual reports and acquisition registers. While reference was made to RKD (The Netherlands Institute for Art History) with regard to various paintings, no new information was revealed. Many gifts were received in the years after 1955 from the ministry of finance and the tax department, but since these objects have no uniquely identifiable characteristics their precise provenance can no longer be ascertained.
