The museum showcases the work and personal life of writers, from love letters to manuscripts, from portraits of authors to children’s book illustrations. It features over 6,000 Dutch writers, with over a million and a half letters, 220,000 manuscripts, 65,000 photos, 2,500 paintings and drawings and more than a million cuttings.
