The museum declined to take part in the investigation since almost all the collection consists of beach finds and agricultural objects without individually identifiable characteristics.

About this museum and its collection

The museum showcases the life of farmers in historical Ameland. Besides exploring farming, the display presents aspects of fishing, hunting and beachcombing in which most islanders were also involved. The Swartwoude exhibition divides into two parts: agriculture and beachcombing.
