About this museum and its collection

Piet Mondriaan (1872-1944) was born at Kortegracht 11 in Amersfoort, which is now Mondrian House. Early work by the artist is shown in De Schatkamer. Elsewhere, the museum features a replica of Mondrian’s studio in Paris. A biographical room named Pieter Cornelis displays information about Mondrian’s life and work. The collection is in two sections: early, figurative work by Mondrian and work by contemporary artists.
