About this museum and its collection

The museum showcases the history of shoemaking, contemporary design and technology in a former shoe factory with a permanent display about the history of shoes from prehistorical to modern high tech applications. Beside special footwear from around the world, the museum also features gilt-leather wall hangings, a horse-drawn carriage from Brabant, a shoe factory and a 1950s shoe shop.
